Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) is also called goober, pindar, groundnut, and earth nut. India is one of the largest producers of groundnuts. India has two agriculture crops every year viz. winter and summer. Peanut Oil is low in saturated fat and high in Polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats which help to lower cholesterol levels. It is a stable oil due to presence of tocoferols.
